Discover Greenland – Artic Winter Adventure 5 Days.
Greenland is the world´s largest Iceland and a unique place of the contrasts and extremes of stunning nature that you will not experience elsewhere. This wonderful and beautiful country allows you to experience its gigantic icebergs, rugged cliffs, wildlife, northern lights, midnight sun, green fields, and even beautiful sandy beach and much more throughout the year. This tour will let you discover one of the most popular destinations “Ilulissat” where you will experience unforgettable, amazing Artic winter adventures in Greenland.
Day 1. Ilulissat
Welcome to Ilulissat, the city of Icebergs.
Ilulissat, is located in the western part of Greenland, 350 km north of the Arctic Circle. With the population of 4,670, it is the third-largest city in Greenland. The city is known as home to almost as many sled-dogs as inhabitants. Upon your arrival in Ilulissat, your private driver will pick you up at the airport and transfer to the hotel. After check-in you will start a guided tour in Ilulissat. Your local guide will introduce you to the unique history of the town Ilulissat and Greenlandic culture and traditions. Visit the local fishermen at the harbor and hunters at the meat/fish market “Brættet” and further explore the next stop – the birthplace of the famous Danish polar explorer Kund Rasmussen. Continue the trip to the old wooden Zion church.
Day 2. UNESCO Icefjord, Disco Bay
Breakfast at the hotel.
Today you will head out for an unforgettable cruise trip to the Disko Bay, the most popular tourist attraction in Ilulissat. The Ilulissat ice fjord is also called Kangia and is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Every day more than 40 million tons of ice flows through the fjord and out into the nearby Disko Bay. The icebergs are gigantic; they can get up to 60 meters high and 100 meters wide. In the middle of this majestic scene, you will be soaked up by the grandeur and solemnity of the nature in Greenland. You can be lucky and maybe spot seals or whales that live in these waters.
Day 3. Snowmobile - Ice Igloo – Northern light
Breakfast at the hotel.
Start the day with a fun snowmobile adventure trip. It is a great way to explore more of the winter landscape and wide-open snow playground of Ilulissat as well as its winter wonderland. Enjoy the astonishing landscape and unimaginable stunning views in front of you. After lunch, continue with a snowshoe trip to a vantage viewpoint looking over the famous Kangia Icefjord and the mesmerizing winter landscapes all around. Continue for dinner and accommodation. Tonight, you will overnight at Ice Igloo lodge where reindeer pelts and warm winter sleeping bags on beds that friendly warms you up while the outside temperature is around minus 20 degrees. Here you have excellent opportunities to experience the amazing Northern Lights dancing on the beautiful night sky.
Dinner and overnight at Igloo lodge (or wooden hut) Please notice that staying in Igloo lodge depends on the availability.

Day 4. Dog Sledding
Breakfast at the hotel.
Sled dogs have been an important Inuit traditional in Greenland transportation dating back 2000 years. Today Husky sledding in Greenland presents as a great Iconic symbol of Greenland and is a strong tourist attraction. In the morning, you will be picked up by your guide and start the day with a husky sledding tour. This tour allows you to experience an ultimate Arctic experience through the snow-covered wilderness and the surrounding true Artic nature. Sitting on the comfortable Greenlandic dog sled and enjoy the pure silent moments with these loving dogs that happily take you deeper into the white landscape of this winter wonderland.
Day 5. Iilulissat
Breakfast at the hotel.
You will be picked up by a private driver and transfer to Iilulissat airport and depart by flight according to your Itinerary.
