Grand Scandinavia Tour – Denmark – Norway – Sweden – Finland 12 Days.

Every year, increasing numbers of visitors from all over the world, travel these beautiful and wonderful Nordic countries. This tour offers you the most wonderful attractions and take you to all the best places in Scandinavia. 

Day 1. Copenhagen

Welcome to Copenhagen, the capital city of the Kingdom of Denmark.

In the capital city, Copenhagen, you will explore popular tourist areas such as the world-renowned H.C. Andersen fairy tale statue of the Little Mermaid, the Gefion fountain, the Danish Queen’s Palace Amalienborg Castle, the Parliament Christiansburg castle, Tivoli Park and Nyhavn harbor. Continue to explore inner city and the historic red- brick building “Round tower” where you can haul yourself to the top of the 34.8 m-high tower to enjoy the grand overview of Copenhagen city. Not far from “Round tower”, you can visit one of oldest and atmospheric districts Latin Quarter, Gråbrødretorve and beautiful old churches. Stroll the famous pedestrian street “Strøget” where there are many modern shopping stores, cozy café and restaurants. Sit on a bench along the harbor “Gammel Strand” and enjoy a cup of coffee while boats are passing by in the canals. 

Day 2. Copenhagen – North Zealand

Today, take a trip to Northern Zealand along the beautiful and famous beach road “Strandvej”. First, you will arrive at Kronborg Castle. It has more than 500 years of history and is known as Hamlet’s Castle after “The Tragedy of Hamlet” by Shakespeare. From here, you will drive to Fredensborg Castle, which is the summer residence of the Danish royal family, and the drive further to visit the Frederiksborg Castle that boasts a rich collection of paintings, furniture, and handicrafts from hundreds of years of Danish history.  

Day 3. Copenhagen – Oslo

Meet your private driver at the hotel, transfer to Copenhagen Airport. Departure by flight for Oslo, Norway according to your itinerary. Welcome to Oslo, the capital city of the Kingdom of Norway. Upon your arrival, meet your private driver and transfer to the hotel. Oslo is a vibrant capital city, surrounded by many beautiful forests, hills and the scenic Oslofjord.  This capital city is also a hidden gem with its rich culture and many tourist attractions, boroughs and much more to explore. After check-in at your centrally located hotel, spend relaxing free time on your own for the rest of day.

Day 4. Lillehammer

In the morning, you will meet a tour guide and a private driver who will accompany with you for the rest of the tour. Start a sightseeing tour in the capital Oslo City. The sightseeing includes the most popular tourist attractions such as the Frogner Park, with all sculptural Vigeland, the Viking Ship Museum, the Royal Palace, City Hall, Akershus Fortress, and more. You can also visit the famous Olympic Holmenkollen Ski Jump, where you will get a wonderful view of Oslo city and its surroundings. In the afternoon, departure towards Norway´s largest open-air museum Maihaugen in Lillehammer. There are 200 traditional Norwegian houses going back to the 13th century to other different eras and includes a historical stave church. It is all surrounded by beautiful mountains. The museum shows the old traditional way of living and even has a variety of activities. 

Day 5. Geiranger

Depart to Geiranger, for a one-hour cruise on the Geirangerfjord – a fairy tale landscape with its majestic, snow-covered mountain tops, wild and beautiful waterfalls, and the deep, beautiful blue fjord. Geiranger is often considered as Norway’s jewel, and it is on the UNESCO´s world Heritage list. Once arrived in Hellesylt, keep driving to Briksdal where you with a troll car will go visit the famous Briksdalbreen glacier. The Briksdal glacier is an arm of the largest glacier, the Jostedal.  From a height of 1200m, the pristine glacier spectacularly comes down the Briksdalen valley to the lake.

Day 6. Flam

Today, you will continue explore the middle part of Norway. The first stop is at Flåm with its spectacular views surrounding Sognefjord which is Norway´s longest fjord and a UNESCO world Heritage site. Start your day with a Nærøyfjord cruise trip to Gudvangen. Nærøyfjord is surrounded by steep mountains with snow covered tops that stretch up to 1800 meters above sea level. You will admire the spectacular sight of the waterfalls water falling down the mountains as well as colored picturesque villages in the landscape while you are sailing. After lunch in Flåm, you will have time to mosey around Flåm village and late afternoon, you will take the famous romantic Flam train. This tour offers panoramic views of magnificent nature and stops at Kjosfossen at Myrdal station where you get out to see the waterfall. Continue to next destination for dinner and accommodation.

Day 7. Bergen

Bergen is the second largest city in Norway and is known as the capital of the fjords. This fascinating historical city is nestled in beautiful surroundings and retains its small-town charm with an embracing atmosphere. You will visit the most popular tourist spots incl. Bryggen with its Hanseatic quarter, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and take the 844-meter long Funiculare trip to the top of Mt. Fløien with the breathtaking views over Bergen. You can also continue to visit Edvard Greig Museum and a Fantoft Satve church.  You should also visit the popular fish markets where you can try to taste the fresh fishes and mosey and walk around in the Bergen streets with its many small shops and cafes. 

Day 8. Bergen – Stockholm

You will be picked up by your private driver at your hotel and drive to Bergen airport. Departure by your flight for Stockholm, according to your itinerary. 
Welcome to Stockholm, the capital city of the Kingdom of Sweden. 
Upon arrival at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, you will meet your private driver and transfer to the hotel. After check-in at the hotel, you will be picked up by a local tour guide and start a sightseeing tour in the capital city Stockholm. Stockholm is a beautiful capital city with the nickname “Venice of the North”. This capital city is located on Sweden’s east coast, where the third-largest lake “Lake Mälaren” flows out into the Baltic Sea. The city consists of fourteen islands that are continuous with the Stockholm archipelago. Your local guide will escort you to visit tourist attractions such as City Hall, Vasa Museum and Skansen open air museum, the Royal Palace and the famous historic “Gamla stan” street and other trend spots. 

Day 9. Stockholm – Drottningsholm, UNESCO´s World Heritage

Today, you drive to the outside of Stockholm to visit one of the most beloved castles in Sweden, the “Drottningholm”.  This castle is on UNESCO’s World Heritage list and a well-preserved royal castle from the 1600s. It is the private residence of the Swedish royal family today. Here you will have a unique experience visiting the historical royal rooms, church, exotic Chinese Pavilion and the magnificent palace gardens. Return to Stockholm city and enjoy your time strolling down the long main street “Drottninggatan” with many shops, cafés and restaurants, before you take an overnight ferry to the next destination Turku, Finland.

Day 10. Turku – Nantali

Arrival to Turku, the beautiful oldest medieval town. It is located at the riverfront and offers charming market squares, the historical castle and cathedral and beautiful nature. Explore the most tourist attractions incl. Turku Castle and Cathedral, the old market square and more. Continue to Naantali city nearby Turku. This city is very popular and a top summer destination among the Finish people. The president’s summer residence is located here.  Nanntali city offers numerous galleries, museums, old buildings, churches and two theme parks. One of the theme parks is Moomin World which is located on the Kalio Island. Moomin World is created based on the Moomin books by Tove Jansson and attracts many tourists from all over the world. While your stay in Nanntali, you can also enjoy a spa treatment. Nanntali is well known as a spa destination since Naantali’s first spa was opened in 1863. 

Day 11. Naantali – Helsinki

Today, you will depart for Helsinki, the capital of Finland. Helsinki is a modern and vibrant seaside city of 315 beautiful islands and green forests. The city of Helsinki is well known for its architecture, various museums, world-famous design, Nordic cuisine and much more. You will visit all the best attractions in Helsinki such as Senate Square and Helsinki Cathedral, Temppeliaukio Church (Rock church), Market Square, Sibelius Park and Sibelius Monument Suomenlinna Sea Fortress. Furthermore, you will visit the Design District where you can find design shops, museums, restaurants and local crafts. For the rest of day, you can also walk around the neighborhoods where you find a cozy café to have relaxing time and just enjoy the sunset. 

Day 12. Helsinki

You will be picked up by a private driver and transfer to Helsinki airport and depart by flight according to your Itinerary.
